Pictures with Santa can be a treasured memory for years to come, but it can also be a little overwhelming for kids. Here are a few tips to make the most of your child’s visit with Santa Claus!
- Talk About Seeing Santa: Before coming to see Santa at Lifestyle Images, talk about it with your kids. Share old photos of them with Santa if you have them, or even pictures of yourself as a child sitting on Santa’s lap! Read stories about Santa, and even break out those beloved classic Christmas movies! Giving little ones an idea of what’s to come can help make it less intimidating when they see the big guy in red. For kids who are old enough to understand, remind them that they’ll get the chance to tell Santa in person what they want for Christmas.
- Dress For Success: Sometimes the cutest outfits aren’t the most fun to wear for little ones (or grownups!). Avoid clothing that will have your little one focusing more on how uncomfortable they are than on how excited they are to see Santa.
- Timing Is Everything: The 2 things most likely to lead to an infamous “crying with Santa” picture are hunger and exhaustion. Make sure your little one is well rested and has a full belly to give yourself the best chance of a smiling photo!
At Lifestyle Images, we work with children all the time (they’re our favorite photo subjects!), and we’re going to work hard to make this day special for you and your little one!
